Terry Miller has a long term experience as a diplomat and his vast experience as an economic specialist can be shown by his appointment as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of the United States of America for economic and global issues and an ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Since 2007 he has been working for the Heritage Foundation and as a Director of the Center for International Trade and Economics, where he is directly responsible for the compilation of the annual Index of Economic Freedom

In his presentation, Mr Miller will introduce the principles and procedures of forming the Economic Freedom Index and analyses the situation in the US economy in general and its impact on Europe.
